 ASSOCIATE POSITION AVAILABLE JANUARY 2011: We're a busy, multi-doctor small/exotic animal practice that seeks a progressive, enthusiastic associate veterinarian. We're family oriented and take no after hour emergencies. We've got a great support staff! We offer an excellent mentoring program for the new veterinarian that will help to ease you comfortably into practice. Flexible work schedule allows for quality time off. We're in a desert community with easy access to recreation areas--snow skiing, water sports and backpacking. In house lab includes the new Heska Dri-Chem and Hematrue blood machines, +iStat and blood coagulation profiles. Our clinic is fully equipped including: computerized with 16 workstations throughout the practice (Avimark, near paperless), CO2 laser surgical unit, Ligasure Vessel Sealing system, radiosurgical unit, liquid nitrogen cryosurgical unit, Aaron Bovie electrosurgical unit, Auto Suture GI stapling system, two microscopes including a new Nikon E200 for doctors only, Tonopen and new Dental Aire unit. We also offer rigid and flexible endoscopy capabilities along with a complete Sound Technology TruDR digital radiography system with off-site back up and telemedicine functionality along with a GE Logiq Book Ultrasound machine. Orthopedic surgery is offered including external skeletal fixators and bone plating capabilities. We offer a competitive salary, starting at $61,000 base (with no experience) with benefits which include matching Safe Harbor 401k plan , 100% of your medical insurance (up to $2,000), paid holidays, paid sick and vacation time off (40hrs/80hrs), all local and one national CE convention (including airfare, hotel, registration fees; limit is $1,900) plus all fees for you to attend CSU's small animal endoscopy courses (http://www.cvmbs.colostate.edu/clinsci/ce/courses.htm) or 16 hours of advanced dental training, AVMA dues, malpractice insurance ($1M), Texas license fee, controlled substance license fees (DEA and TDPS), VIN membership and a uniform allowance. Signing bonus from $2,000 up to $10,000 depending on clinical experience. Those with experience may start on a base salary plus commission. If you would like to visit with us about the position I would be willing to reimburse you for one-half of your airfare and, if hired, I will pay one-half of your moving expense (up to $1,500). We have a completely furnished apartment for you to use temporarily should you decide to visit with us about the position. Applicants must be US citizens.
